A photographers work life comes across as pretty grand and exciting and if you find your passion/niche market than it is but there is alot of hard work behind the scenes many people would never know about.  Freezing temperatures, cramped travel conditions and too airline luggage fees that drain the bank account quickly.  But now and then you get a bit of style with a client, Lagoon Car Rental was such a client providing top level rental cars for 5+ weeks of travel over two unique trips. 

  In return document what it is like to travel in Iceland and the quality of the vehicle provided in engaging images to connect with customers and make them want to use their service and go on their own adventure.  

  First trip was in winter and camping out on the actual photo location was very important to be ready when the winter aurora borealis lights started.   One of the great things about Iceland is it’s cheap and wide coverage of mobile reception, this allowed us to post daily onto social media for us and for Lagoon as well.  

  With a successful trip under my belt I wanted to return in summer exploring areas not accessible in winter and see what the light was like in summer.  Contacting Lagoon they were keen to have me back and see where we would get to in the long summer light.  It was more challenging than anticipated in summer without the northern lights and contrast of snow but after a few days I found my way and used the middle of the day to travel in the harsher light saving the evenings and mornings for photographing locations.
